Above all else, please read the rules, thank you.
1. After signing up, create a character within two weeks of joining. This can be done in the Characters board, in Creation. You must follow the Character Template correctly, or your information may be rejected.
2. Display your account information In Character. This is a roleplay forum, so your display name and profile must be about your character. PLEASE do not change your display name until your character has been approved, unless you are making an original character. But do change it before roleplaying. For example, my character's name is Spider-Man, so my display name is also Spider-Man. Names such as 'guy_123' are not acceptable.
3. Each character must be hosted on a separate account. As of now, there is no character limit, but characters will be denied or deleted if it is obvious you cannot handle the amount of characters you are currently using. A good average would be 3 characters.
4. If you'd like to be a staff member, PM Spider-Man with who you are, what experience you have, what you'd like to to do, and why you want to be a staff member.
5. Remain active. You must sign in and post at least once per month, preferably, every couple of weeks. If you are found inactive, you will receive one warning via e-mail or PM. If you are still inactive, your account will be deleted and you will not be permitted to rejoin the site for a time. If you can't get online in over a month, notify a staff member and you will be safe from deletion.
6. No pornography. Posting anything of pornographic nature is against the rules, as this roleplaying community is designed to welcome all ages.
7. Please do not put any "outgoing" links in your signatures. You may put links to other parts of the Alter M site, such as the character's bio or picture, for example. But advertising other sites, especially of an offensive nature or spybot/phishing nature will not be tolerated, your character will be deleted and you will be banned without warning. If you'd like to advertise your site, you may do so in the affiliate section, you may even have a link to your section of the affiliates section in your signature. This is done to protect the members of the site.
